247Sports’ No. 1 ranked prospect in Oklahoma is quickly becoming one of the nation’s most coveted prospects as Durant (Okla.) High Top247 2026 edge Colton Yarbrough landed recent offers from Georgia and LSU among others.
Those are programs the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Yarbrough says he’s trying to visit before the summer. The Tigers are on the radar for March 9 and the Bulldogs are up in the air.
Oregon will get a visit on April 5. Dan Lanning and his staff offered back in March of last year, and they landed a verbal from Xadavien Sims who trains with Sean Cooper at the same C4Sports Oklahoma facility. That familiarity could help with Yarbrough down the road.
Vanderbilt will get a visit from Yarbrough on March 23, and Penn State is on the radar for April 11.
Besides those programs, Arkansas, Colorado and TCU are a few others that Yarbrough is high on. He got a chance to recently visit both the Razorbacks and Horned Frogs.
“Arkansas was nice,” Yarbrough said. His trip included the basketball game against Kentucky. “They’re real up there. I feel like they’re real people. Landon Jackson they transformed him.
“TCU I really like the history of that program. I like the way they did stuff up there.”
247Sports tabs Yarbrough as the nation’s No. 5 edge. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite has him as the No. 57 prospect in the country overall.
