TAMPA, Fla. — The 247Sports crew including Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins and National Analysts Tom Loy, Mike Roach, and Bud Elliott are currently in the Sunshine State for the OT7 Championship. This event is loaded with talent from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes.
Here is the latest buzz coming out of Day 3.
San Clemente (Calif.) high school Top 100 linebacker Matai Togoa’i has been committed to USC since April 1. It’s going to be very difficult to flip him from the Trojans and only one school has a shot — Washington. The Huskies are in the picture and he loved his official visit. That said, Tagoa’i maintains that he’s firm in his pledge to USC and the connections with the staff are second to none. Personally, I see him sticking it out with USC but Washington will continue battling all the way to Signing Day.
