Bayern Munich youngster Mathys Tel is patiently waiting for his breakthrough still — but for how much longer?
The 19-year-old has seen three coaches and several positions in his short time in Munich, but is still not getting regular playing time. While he is reportedly determined to stay and fight for his spot, the profile of club interested in his services is increasing all the time — Premier League giants Chelsea FC the latest in an intriguing set of options.
If prestige is not enough to sway Tel, perhaps familiarity will be?
Former coach Dino Toppmöller — Julian Nagelsmann’s assistant two seasons ago in Bavaria — could be looking to bring him to Bundesliga contenders Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report from Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau.

Mathys Tel has been on Eintracht Frankfurt’s list since last year. The Frenchman has a very good relationship with Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller from their time together at Bayern. In addition to Eintracht, there are inquiries from Germany and abroad. However, a move away from Bayern is still not an option for Tel. He’s determined to make his way into becoming a regular starter at FC Bayern [@kerry_hau]
Toppmöller has Die Adler surging to third in the Bundesliga this season. If he has a spot in his XI for Tel, it could be a promising landing spot indeed…but only if his former charge is willing.
