According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich might no longer a primary transfer target for Real Madrid.
The Germany international was thought to be on the LaLiga powerhouse’s radar for quite some time, but now that he is a free agent after the season, Real Madrid could be balking at the prospect of a move:
Real Madrid’s interest in Joshua Kimmich is no longer so concrete. That would increase Bayern’s chances of an extension. Internally, Bayern sees it as a good sign if it takes so long to make a decision on Kimmich.
If true, Real Madrid is only one of a number of clubs, who are rumored to have interest in Kimmich. Manchester City, FC Barcelona, and Liverpool are among the other clubs considered to have major interested in Kimmich.
For now, contract negotiations with Bayern Munich have hit a wall, but it might not be a bad thing. It could just be the normal run of play for a guy who is representing himself in these talks.
