The presumed No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, USC quarterback Caleb Williams will soon be an even bigger multimillionaire than he already is.
According to a recent report from The Athletic’s Kalyn Kahler, Williams earned approximately $10 million through NIL and endorsement deals during the last two years at USC — a figure that is roughly one-quarter of what Williams stands to make as the top pick in April’s draft.
Per On3, Williams’ NIL valuation is approximately $2.7M per year, the third-best among college football players. Some of his NIL deals include AT&T, Beats by Dre, Dr. Pepper, Fanatics, PlayStation and Wendy’s.
“Today’s athlete coming out of college is in a completely different economic profile than even five years ago,” NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell said, per Kahler. “So how and in what manner they negotiate and how they think about the opportunities is going to be different. … what someone’s requesting, it’s a different request than what you would have heard years ago.”
