According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich is interested in Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, but rumors of just how close the club is with Cherki have been overblown:
FC Bayern are monitoring Rayan #Cherki and have gathered all relevant information about his future plans. Bayern are also aware that he would cost only €22-23m in winter or summer.
However, reports of an alleged phone call between Max Eberl and Cherki have been denied by all parties. Cherki is currently not at the very top of Bayern’s list.
⚠️ Jamie #Gittens and Nico #Williams remain two of the top targets for the wing positions in the summer, as previously revealed.
Cherki’s price is significantly lower than it will cost to Gittens or Williams. With so much uncertainty in the attacking group ahead of next season, Bayern Munich might be more open to a cost effective option in the coming months.
