The Green Bay Packers’ season ended on Sunday, and while this wasn’t necessarily surprising, it was still disappointing.
They didn’t seem to have enough in them to respond when it mattered the most, and the turnovers continued to be a problem with Jordan Love.
That’s why Rex Ryan didn’t mince his words when talking about him.
In the latest edition of ESPN’s “Get Up,” the former head coach claimed that while Love’s skills were ‘elite’ and ‘incredible,’ he’s not an elite quarterback.

Ryan called him out for not having a feel for the pressure and the coverage that’s coming against him, adding that he needs to get better at reading opposing defenses and reacting to them.
Love now has 18 interceptions when trailing, dating back to 2023 (including playoffs), which is tied for the most in the league in those scenarios.
He seems to have the same problem as Josh Allen before this year: He tends to do too much and plays hero ball when his team’s performance is subpar.
For the most part, last night’s game was within reach, yet Love’s erratic throws and decision-making repeatedly held the team back.
He clearly has the ability to make every single throw in the book, and there’s no doubt that he can be a Super Bowl-winning quarterback.
Still, he has been in the league for quite a while now, and this issue could set him apart from being a good quarterback from a great one.
