The stage is set for an electrifying NFL conference championship weekend.
The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up to host the Washington Commanders in the NFC title game, while the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to square off against the Buffalo Bills for AFC supremacy.
ESPN BET has the Eagles as 5.5-point favorites, with the Chiefs holding a slim 2-point edge in their matchup.
But former NFL cornerback and current Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” analyst Richard Sherman isn’t buying into those odds.
The Super Bowl champ dropped a bombshell on the latest episode of “The Richard Sherman Podcast,” boldly picking the Commanders to upset the Eagles in Philadelphia.
Sherman’s confidence in Washington stems from quarterback Jayden Daniels’s impact on the team.
“These guys look like they believed because he believes,” Sherman declared. “I got them winning in Philly. I think they got a chance.”

While Sherman’s prediction might seem surprising, the numbers back up his faith in Washington.
The Commanders have emerged as an offensive powerhouse this postseason, leading all teams with 34 points per game while ranking third in total yards (415.5).
Daniels has been the catalyst behind this surge, putting up remarkable stats in his last two outings – connecting on 46 of 66 passes for 567 yards, throwing four touchdowns without any interceptions, and maintaining an impressive 116.2 passer rating.
If Sherman’s prediction holds true, it would mark a historic moment for the Washington Commanders, sending them to their first Super Bowl since the 1991 season, when they triumphed over the Buffalo Bills 37-24.
