The Houston Rockets have exercised the 2025-26 rookie scale team options for Tari Eason, Jabari Smith Jr, Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore. These are the fourth-year options for Eason and Smith, and the third-year options for Thompson and Whitmore.
All four decisions were considered no-brainers for the Rockets. Smith is a starter, while Eason, Thompson and Whitmore are key contributors off the bench.
Both Smith and Eason will be eligible to negotiate rookie scale contract extensions with Houston during the 2025 offseason. Thompson and Whitmore will have two more seasons beyond this one on their rookie scale contracts.
