Bayer Leverkusen’s managing director of sport Simon Rolfes has spoken regarding Nordi Mukiele and a potential permanent signing in summer.
When asked if he could envisage the French defender staying at the BayArena going forward, the 43-year-old was reluctant to give away too much.
“It’s still too early to assess that, but Nordi [Mukiele] has developed very well after a difficult start.
“He is totally integrated into the team, and he is performing really well,” Rolfes explained.
According to BILD, Die Werkself do not have a purchase option inserted in the loan deal, so everything depends on Paris St.Germain’s plans.
The 27-year-old is under contract with the Parisien giants until summer of 2027 which was negotiated when he arrived from RB Leipzig for €12million in 2022.
A transfer sum of €15million seems adequate, however French publication L’Equipe believe the full-back’s annual salary without bonuses totals to €8.4million – a fee which Die Werkself are paying entirely for this season.
