Jon Scheyer was just a game away from making his first Final Four Duke’s head coach. A Final Four in his second year at his helm would have been a fantastic start to his career. Instead, conference and in-state foe N.C. State ruined those plans. The Blue Devils fell 76-64 to the Wolfpack, and their season ended in the Elite 8
Looking forward to next season, Duke’s roster, and especially its starting lineup, could experience a signicant overhaul. Many starters could bolt for the draft and other players could look for opportunities elsewhere. It is nothing that Scheyer and his staff are not prepared for. And big-time help is on the way in the form of No. 1 ranked incoming freshman Cooper Flagg and the No. 1 ranked signing class.
