The Philadelphia Eagles made one of the biggest moves of the offseason when they signed Saquon Barkley.
It was a rare feat to see a player of his caliber sign with a divisional rival, but the Eagles managed to pull him away from the New York Giants.
People around the league were curious to see how this move would pay off, but it’s safe to say that the Eagles are happy with their decision.
Barkley has been a key cog of this offense all year, not only rushing for 2,000 yards but helping Jalen Hurts have more time in the pocket as well.
Their offense has been on fire over the past several weeks thanks to Barkley, showing no signs of slowing down in the NFC Championship game.
Barkley and Hurts combined for six rushing touchdowns in this contest, bringing the Eagles to the Super Bowl for the second time in three seasons.
This is Barkley’s first time in the title game, and he couldn’t hold back his emotions in a postgame interview with Tom Brady, as shared by FOX Sports: NFL on X.
“I’m going to the Super Bowl, I’m super excited,” Barkley told Brady.

This is an opportunity for Barkley to showcase his skills on the biggest-possible platform, as the Super Bowl continues to be one of the biggest events in the world.
Barkley knew that the Giants were a long way away from making it to this point, so he tested his luck by joining a new team.
It has certainly paid off for the Eagles, who are one win away from their first Super Bowl win since 2017.
