The Chang International Circuit in Buriram will stage a two-day MotoGP test this week. This will offer MotoGP teams and riders the final opportunity to run their bikes before the start of the season at the same venue in early March.
All five manufacturers had already collected a lot of data at the Sepang International Circuit last week, but this week’s test is expected to offer a more representative picture of the pecking order.
2025 MotoGP Buriram test schedule
MotoGP’s Buriram pre-season test will take place on 12-13 February
- 12 February 2025 (Wednesday): 10am-6pm local time / 3am-11am GMT / 4am-12pm CET
- 13 February 2025 (Thursday): 10am-6pm local time / 3am-11am GMT / 4am-12am CET
Who will compete in the MotoGP Buriram test?
Out of the 22 full season riders on the grid, 20 will be present for this week’s Buriram test. The most notable absentee will be reigning champion Jorge Martin, who had to return to Spain after breaking his right hand and left foot in a crash in the Sepang test. The new Aprilia signing subsequently had to undergo a surgery on his fractured right hand and is not expected to be back in action until at least practice for the Thai Grand Prix.
VR46’s Fabio di Giannantonio also picked up an injury in the Sepang test, the Italian breaking his left collarbone while performing a wheelie. He, too, had to get an operation done after flying back to Europe.
The only rider to make a quick recovery from Sepang injuries is Trackhouse’s Raul Fernandez, who arrived in Thailand on Monday after a successful surgery on a fractured finger on his left hand.

How to follow the MotoGP Buriram Test
Like the Sepang test, MotoGP’s Buriram test will also not be available to watch on TV or online. That’s because Dorna’s production crew is not filming the test.
However, MotoGP will offer a live timing service that will be made available on its website for a certain fee.
Motorsport.com will also be on the ground at Buriram to bring you live updates, reports and reaction straight from the paddock.
