The number one recruiting class in the country just got better as Duke has landed a commitment from Shelton Henderson. A five-star national prospect ranked No. 15 overall in the national class, Henderson chose the Blue Devils from a list of finalists that also included Texas and Louisville.
He announced his decision live from the Bellaire Shootout on the 247Sports Channel.
Henderson becomes the fourth player to commit to Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils in recent weeks, joining Cameron Boozer (No. 2), Cayden Boozer (No. 21), and Nikolas Khamenia (No. 19).
Henderson is coming off an EYBL campaign with JL3 Elite in which he averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block per game for a team that went 9-6 in the regular season before advancing the quarterfinals of the Peach Jam.
