Jamarion Batemon, a 2025 four-star guard from the Milwaukee (WI) Academy Of Science, announced his commitment to Iowa State on Monday, live on the 247Sports channel.
Batemon was one of the biggest risers in the recent 2025 national rankings update, jumping all the way from No. 146 in the class to No. 54, after a huge spring for the Power 5 club on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
The 6-foot-3 combo guard chose the Cyclones over a group of finalists that also included Marquette, West Virginia and Clemson.
Batemon becomes the third high school player to commit to head coach TJ Otzelberger this offseason, joining a pair of three-star prospects Xzavion Mitchell, a fellow Wisconsin native, and Macari Moore, a 6-foot-3 lead guard.
