Tounde Yessoufou, a top-20 prospect in the national class of 2025, just announced his verbal commitment to Baylor, live on the 247Sports channel.
Yessoufou chose the Bears from a group of three finalists which also included Arizona State and USC and becomes the first player to commit to head coach Scott Drew so far in the high school class of 2025.
A native of Benin, who moved to the United States prior to his freshman year, Yessoufou has starred for St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria, California as well as the Team WhyNot grassroots program, where he averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game during the recent EYBL season.
