The Denver Broncos surprised a lot of people this season.
They didn’t seem to be a competitive team before the start of the campaign.
They had to move on from several pieces as a ripple effect of the Russell Wilson situation, and teams with rookie quarterbacks don’t usually fare that well right out of the gate.
That’s why, now that Bo Nix has tasted the playoffs and the team will enter the third year of the Sean Payton era, the Super Bowl-winning head coach has a warning for the rest of the National Football League.
Talking to Kay Adams on “Up & Adams,” Payton made sure to put the league on notice:
“We’re gonna be a problem,” he said.

The Broncos were always expected to fare much better with a veteran and proven winner like Payton leading the way.
Nevertheless, the turnaround has been as rapid as it’s been notorious.
Nix looks tailor-made to run his offense, and their defense has been very good.
They’re also a young team that should only get better with time.
Once they finally overcome the dead cap hit of Russell Wilson’s contract, they should also be a very appealing destination for big-money free agents.
However, it’s also worth noting that they happen to be in the same division as the two other playoff teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers, so standing out will be challenging.
Still, Coach Payton is one of the best in the game, and the future is bright at Mile High.
