College basketball teams are in the home stretch of their league title races. Only three weeks remain until conference tournaments tip off, and those squads vying for position in the NCAA Tournament or fighting to punch their ticket altogether only have a few more opportunities to bolster their resumes. The winners of the sport’s biggest and most competitive conferences figure to be in prime position for a No. 1 seed in the Big Dance, but there still remains much uncertainty about which squads will reign supreme in their respective leagues.
The Big 12 and SEC, in particular, feature races that project to come down to the final week. Houston, Iowa State and multiple others are locked into a battle in the Big 12 while Alabama holds only a narrow lead over Tennessee, Auburn and fellow contenders in the SEC.
