While at SEC Media Days last week, we asked this question to players on hand and got a sense of the impact that each team’s top-ranked transfer has made thus far. 247Sports only asked about the top-ranked transfer for each school, though one or two programs have a bonus answer included.

Transfer rank: No. 27 overall, No. 2 safety
The Tigers are hoping that Gilbert, a multiyear starting safety at Texas A&M, brings a steadying presence on the backend of a defense in great need of a jolt. He’s currently projected to start alongside Sage Ryan at safety, according to Geaux247.
LSU LB Harold Perkins on Gilbert: “Aggression. Jardin is a great guy, a great teammate. He’s smart. He knows football. When it’s time to line up, he knows the tendencies. He spots that with his eyes. He’s good.”
