Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers’ prized acquisition of the offseason, made an appearance at DodgerFest on Saturday and stated that he feels “very confident” he’ll be the team’s starting DH when Los Angeles opens the season against San Diego in Seoul, South Korea on March 20.
Ohtani, who’s recovering from a right elbow procedure, also said he’s right on schedule with his rehab and will start hitting velocity when he reports to Arizona for Spring Training.
Dodger fans also got an idea of what their new-look lineup will look like as manager Dave Roberts polled the fans, who voted for a Mookie Betts-Freddie Freeman-Ohtani order.
