When the NFL season heads into January and everybody is nursing some sort of injury as the weather dips below freezing in many areas of the country, toughness becomes an exceptionally important character trait.
There will be games where you simply don’t have it on both sides of the ball, and the only thing you can rely on is pure grit and toughness to will yourself to victory, which one quarterback who Skip Bayless believes is the toughest in the NFL was able to do on Saturday.
Bayless took to X on Saturday after watching the Cincinnati Bengals’ gritty 19-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers to dub Joe Burrow the toughest of them all, saying, “No QB Is tougher than Joe Burrow.”

Burrow took a brutal hit late in the game where a group of Steelers defenders slammed his facemask into the ground.
At the same time, his arms were clamped behind him to prevent him from breaking his fall in any way, but after a quick trip to the blue medical tent, he was able to proceed.
The Bengals’ quarterback capped off an incredible statistical season that would likely make him a lock for MVP if his team won a few more games.
He finished with 4,918 passing yards, 43 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions while completing 70.6 percent of his passes.
The Bengals will need some help on Sunday to keep their season going, as the only way they can make the playoffs is if the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets beat the Miami Dolphins to help Cincy sneak in as a No. 7 seed.
