UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas — Michael Turner was one of the top targets on campus at SMU for Sunday’s Junior Day. The Top247 running back from Richland (Texas) holds 14 offers, and the Mustangs are hoping to keep him at home. Turner was one of the last recruits to leave the facility on Sunday after meeting with several coaches, and Turner gave the trip strong feedback.
“It was real cool,” Turner said. “Seen a lot of stuff and I like the new facility. It looked nice. The coaches were lovable. I loved it out here. Feels good out here.”
Turner spent time with SMU running backs coach Kyle Cooper, wide receivers coach Rob Likens and head coach Rhett Lashlee. Turner said the pitch from the SMU staff has been fairly simple and geared toward keeping him at home.
