The Oklahoma Sooners have had no issues recruiting defensive talent to Norman since Brent Venables arrived, and they appear to be positioned well with another elite prospect in the 2025 class. After talking with sources around the state, I’ve logged a 247Sports Crystal Ball for Galveston (Texas) Ball safety Jonah Williams joining 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong.
The 6-foot-3, 203-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 2 linebacker in the nation and No. 5 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports.
Oklahoma is one of 33 offers currently on the table for Williams who plays at safety but is projected to linebacker at the next level. Williams recently told 247Sports’ Brandon Huffman that he’s looking to trim his list to ten schools soon. Oklahoma is expected to make the cut along with Texas, Oregon, USC, Florida and Ohio State.
