Wednesday was a special day for Enterprise (Ala.) High Top100 edge rusher Zion Grady. The 6-4, 235-pounder, who is set to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes, was presented with his 2025 Navy All-American Bowl jersey in front of friends and family.
“It means a lot to me. It’s great to know all of my hard work paid off,” said Grady. “I’m doing good. I just need to stay on track.”
Grady, whose grandfather was in the Navy, is excited to play in front of so many members of the military. He’s also looking forward to putting on a show in front of 40,000 screaming fans inside the Alamodome.
“I’ve watched a couple of them,” said Grady of prior All-American Bowls. “This will probably be the most [fans] I’m played in front of.”
Grady, the No. 99 overall player in the country, will sign with Ohio State next Wednesday. He could have gone anywhere in the country, but he chose to be a Buckeye.
“I’m very fired up,” he said. “I’m fired up to get there and get to work and be a Buckeye.”
So, what can Ohio State fans expect upon his arrival?
“A consistent person on and off the field. I’m a hard worker. I’m willing to do my best for the team.”
Despite focusing on his future in Columbus, Grady isn’t done recruiting quite yet for Ohio State. He’s got one more target left to add to the class.
“I’m trying to get Anthony Rogers to come on up,” he said of the four-star running back with elite speed.
The Road to the Dome Tour will honor all 100 All-Americans with live and virtual jersey presentations during a 15-episode series that will be released weekly through various digital and social platforms across NBC Sports.
