WWE is just days away from crowning the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.
The company introduced secondary women’s titles to WWE NXT (Women’s North American Championship), WWE Raw (Women’s Intercontinental Championship) and WWE SmackDown (Women’s United States Championship).
At the return episode of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC this Saturday night, December 14, in Long Island, New York, the finals of the tournament to crown the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion will take place.
The tourney began with a field of competitors that included Bayley, B-Fab, Candice LeRae, Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, Blair Davenport, Michin, Piper Niven, Lash Legend, Naomi, Tiffany Stratton and Elektra Lopez.
Currently, the semifinals of the tourney will take place on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, with Bayley vs. Chelsea Green and Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton scheduled. The winners of those two matches will square off in the finals to crown the first-ever WWE Women’s U.S. Champion at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on 12/14.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated 12/14 special event, which will also simulcast live via Peacock in addition to airing on NBC, a spoiler has surfaced regarding the expected winner of the tourney, and the WWE Superstar slated to become the company’s inaugural WWE Women’s U.S. Champion.
“The Hot Mess” herself, Chelsea Green, is reportedly expected to emerge victorious and become the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this coming weekend.
