Lamar Jackson is proving why he’s the defending NFL MVP.
The Baltimore Ravens keep cruising past their opponents, and while Derrick Henry deserves plenty of the credit for that, Jackson’s stellar dual-threat play has been the catalyst of the offense.
Notably, Jackson seems to be at his best when the lights are the brightest — at least in the regular season.
As pointed out by Ari Meirov on X, Jackson is one of the best Monday Night Football performers this league has ever seen.
So far, he’s completed 149 of 217 passes for 1,772 passing yards to go along with 22 touchdowns, no interceptions, and 681 rushing yards on Monday Night Football.

Jackson is also 23-1 against the NFC in his career, with his lone loss coming against the New York Giants.
Those who questioned his talent and style of play have been rather quiet lately, as he’s currently the leading candidate to win MVP again.
This season, he’s thrown for 1,810 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just two interceptions while completing 68.2% of his passes.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, he’s added 73 rushes for 455 yards and two scores.
The only issue with Jackson — besides his health — has been his inability to replicate these kinds of performances in the postseason.
We’ve already seen him dominate in the regular season over and over, and no one could argue that he’s one of the absolute best quarterbacks in the game — perhaps even the best dual-threat quarterback ever.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to keep this momentum going in the playoffs as well this time.
