Former UFC two-division champion, Daniel Cormier, will coach The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 33, the latest entry into the promotion’s combat sports reality show. “DC” recently announced his coaching staff for the ESPN+ premiere on May 27, which includes WWE superstar Jacob Kasper, who performs under the name Julius Creed.
Julius and his brother Brutus Creed (Drew Kasper) battled “War Raiders” for the WWE tag team title earlier this week on Monday Night Raw. Both Kasper brothers were standout collegiate wrestlers with Jacob placing fifth in the 2016 Olympic trials.
Also joining Cormier’s squad is American Kickboxing Academy coach Bob Cook, along with Syndicate MMA trainer John Wood, UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa, kickboxing veteran Tiago Beowulf, and boxing coach Rosendo Sanchez.
Cormier, who retired from competition back in summer 2020, will lead a team of flyweight and welterweight hopefuls opposite fellow UFC veteran Chael Sonnen. “The American Gangster” has yet to finalize his coaching squad but is expected to do so in the coming days.
