The 2025 recruiting class is Mike Elko’s first at Texas A&M, so it’s important he’s able to make a statement.
So far so good on that front. Tristan Norman, a three-star wide receiver from Montgomery, Alabama, just committed to the Aggies and in the process he became Elko’s 15th 2025 commitment. It’s a class that’s ranked No. 8 overall in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite, so the results so far on the recruiting trail are looking promising for Elko and his staff.
For Norman, it was an official visit to College Station and time spent with the Aggies staff talking football that really sealed the deal for him.
“My official went great. I was glad to finally get on the board with Coach [Holmon] Wiggins and talk football. It really helped towards my decision in this process,” Norman told On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
“I love how honest and genuine the coaches are about important things,” he continued. “I had a lot of questions answered concerning school and ball over the weekend.”
Though he’s “just” a three-star recruit, Norman is a big pull for Texas A&M out of the state of Alabama. He also boasts offers from the likes of Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Houston, Ole Miss, South Carolina, West Virginia and Vanderbilt among others, so this is a no-doubt big win for Elko and staff.
According to 247Sports, Norman is the No. 72 wide receiver in the 2025 class.
