Texas A&M will have to move forward without one of its top players at wide receiver.
Aggies receiver Jabre Barber has undergone surgery to repair a foot injury and is expected to miss several months, sources tell 247Sports.
Barber, who transferred to A&M from Troy, had been impressing prior to sustaining the injury to the point that he’d emerged as a potential No. 1 option for the Aggies at wide receiver and also an option for A&M as a punt returner.
Barber caught 75 passes for 999 yards and five touchdowns at Troy last season and was an All-Sun Belt selection for the 11-win Trojans.
Texas A&M is entering its first season with Mike Elko as its head coach. The Aggies finished 7-6 last season under their previous staff.
