Bayern Munich and Stuttgart agreed to end the loan deal of Frans Krätzig short, with the player returning to Munich now, rather than in the summer. However, he is on the move again, this time to fellow Bundesliga club Heidenheim (as reported by Bayern’s official website).
The 21-year-old will spend the rest of the season across the state to join Paul Wanner as he continues to improve his game with the hopes of maybe breaking into Bayern’s first team. With the re-emergence of Alphonso Davies, that’s probably easier said than done.
“I’m very grateful to everyone involved who made the move possible and I’m now looking forward to the new task. After the last few months have been very instructive for me personally, I now want to make it at 1. FC Heidenheim and prove myself in the Bundesliga. With the team, staying in the league is of course the main goal,” Krätzig said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
As it stands, Heidenheim are 16th in the league in the relegation playoff spot. The gap to safety in the league is still small so there is still hope of avoiding the drop to the second tier. Heidenheim is tied for most losses in the league (11) with the two teams below them (Holstein Kiel and Bochum) but do have the same number of wins as both teams combined.
