Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State — No. 14
Fashanu is a projected top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft who could even sneak into the top five, so he has opted out of the Peach Bowl showdown with Ole Miss.
Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon — No. 28
Considered a Day 1 or Day 2 draft pick, Franklin declared for the draft and opted out of the Fiesta Bowl against Liberty.
Zak Zinter, OL, Michigan — Rank: No. 39
Zinter suffered a broken leg during the Wolverines’ win over Ohio State in November and is out for the season.
Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State — No. 42
Verse, a projected early-round pick in the 2024 draft, has opted out of the Orange Bowl against Georgia.
Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State — No. 44
Travis suffered a gruesome injury to his left leg in FSU’s victory against Florida in November and is out for the season. This injury notoriously played a role in keeping the Seminoles out of the CFP.
Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State — No. 78
Like Verse, Coleman is expected to go early in next year’s draft and will skip the Orange Bowl.
Jackson Powers-Johnson, OL, Oregon — No. 82
One of the nation’s top centers, Powers-Johnson may not go in the first round of next year’s draft but could be the first players at his position taken.
Jonathon Brooks, RB, Texas — No. 85
Brooks tore his ACL last month and will miss out on the CFP.
Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State — No. 100
Although not quite the elite prospect that Fashanu is, Robinson still could go in the first round and thus opted out.
