The 2024 Super Bowl has officially concluded, leaving NFL fans to turn their attention to the upcoming draft.
The draft is a beacon of hope for every NFL roster, a chance for them to select a young player who could turn into the face and future of their franchise.
Some teams are more desperate for a player like that than others, especially the teams near the top of the draft order, who have faced their fair share of struggles over the past few seasons.
Quarterback is a pressing need for many of those teams, and while it’s not as deep of a quarterback class as the past few years have been, there are a few players who have been mentioned as potential top 10 options.
Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are the most common names, but analysts have been bringing up other prospects as options who could make a big difference in an NFL organization.
Todd McShay recently posted on X about someone who hasn’t gotten much traction to this point, saying, “There aren’t four quarterbacks in this draft class more gifted with NFL tools than Louisville QB Tyler Shough.”

Shough isn’t one of the top prospects this year, at least to the general public, but given McShay’s role as a draft expert, his opinion might be worth a listen.
The Louisville QB played well in his final season, throwing for 3,195 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just six interceptions.
McShay sees something in him, and it will be interesting to see if an NFL team has the same evaluation and uses a high pick on him.
