Top 100 offensive lineman Jaylen Gilchrist is done with his visits, has a top three and now a commitment date is locked in. The Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem standout has a top three of Georgia, South Carolina and Maryland, which are the three schools he officially visited.
“I am announcing Aug. 3,” the 6-foot-4 1/2, 295-pound Gilchrist said. “Committing is so I can relieve some of that stress off of myself and just cruise through senior year.”
The three finalists have long been leading the way for Gilchrist, and there are commonalities with each.
