One of the fastest rising players in the class of 2025, shooting guard Davis Fogle decided to contribute his own fireworks to the Fourth of July by committing to Mark Few and Gonzaga.
A native of Anacortes (Wash.), the 6-foot-7 shooting guard who ranks No. 31 in the rising senior class confirmed to 247Sports that he’ll be headed back to his home state for college after spending his senior year at Chandler (Ariz.) AZ Compass Prep.
Fogle visited Spokane last weekend and couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
“The player development is top tier, they have a great plan for me and the culture is such a family vibe and on my visit I fell in love with it and it just felt like home,” Fogle told 247Sports. “I originally planned to commit toward the fall but after my visit I realized Gonzaga was the best place for me and there was no reason to wait.”
Fogle played his way onto the scene last summer with his play in the Under Armour Association with Seattle Select. After a strong junior season he saw his stock really take off during the spring. He has tremendous size, can play at the two or the three and is a plus athlete with lean strength who has potential as a three-level scorer as he continues to beef up his jum shooting.
When he arrives in Spokane, Fogle’s future head coach plans unleashing. Few sees elements of past Zags greats in his game.
“(Coach Few) sees me being able to play my game and score the ball and play in spots similar to Julian Strawther and Corey Kispert,” said Fogle. “I think the difference maker for me is my versatility and my scoring ability.”
Fogle said that committing to Gonzaga is a dream come true. However, growing up in the state of Washington it wasn’t a situation where the Zags were always his dream program. Instead, as he grew as a player and they focused their interest on him, he saw the benefits and is looking forward to showing the rabid fanbase what he can do.
“Growing up Gonzaga was not my dream school,” said Fogle. “But as I grew up and as they started to recruit me I just saw how well I fit in the program and it was a dream come true for me to play at the highest level of college basketball. The fans can expect a guy who is going to come in a work very hard and do whatever it takes to win.”
