Stilwell (Kan.) Blue Valley Top247 linebacker Dawson Merritt is one of the most coveted second-level defenders in the country, and he knows what he’s looking for in a college football program.
Top contenders include Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, Alabama and Ole Miss among others.
“Relationship with my position coach to where I know he can develop me on and off the field,” Merritt told 247Sports. “A winning program. I want to play for a team that I know will win games under a stable head coach. And the last thing I would say is I want to go somewhere where even if I wasn’t playing football, would I want to live there on my own for the next three to four years.”
