One of the top defenders in Texas will come off the board July 6 when Riley Pettijohn makes his college decision. The Top247 linebacker from McKinney (Texas) tells 247Sports that he will make his commitment at a party with family and friends. Ohio State, USC, Texas A&M and Texas are the schools that Pettijohn took visits to and will choose between. There are three top contenders in that group, however, sources near the recruitment told 247Sports.
247Sports ranks the 6-foot-1 1/2, 215-pound defender is ranked as the nation’s No. 58 overall prospect and No. 5 linebacker while being the Lone Star State’s No. 10 player.
