News broke on Saturday that Gus Malzahn would not return as head coach of UCF next season. Knights247’s own Stephen Leonard broke the news.
Pete Thamel then reported that Malzahn was leaving his post to head to Tallahassee to become the new offensive coordinator under Mike Norvell. The Seminoles were in search of a new coordinator after Alex Atkins was let go.
Following the news, Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside Top247 offensive tackle Chastan Brown informed 247Sports that he was decommitting. He had initially picked the Knights back on July 11.
