Katy (Texas) Paetow Top247 safety Deyjhon Pettaway announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Saturday night after another visit to the Aggies campus. He becomes commit No. 3 early in the cycle for head coach Mike Elko and his staff.
Pettaway chose to play in College Station over an offer list that included Baylor, Kansas, TCU and many others.
“Man Elko means business,” Pettaway recently told 247Sports. “New staff is great too. They mean business as well. They’re all about pouring into young men and have the tools, teaching points, mindsets, and intensity to win a championship.”
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Pettaway joins a class that also includes Forney (Texas) High linebacker Kelvion Riggins who announced his pledge earlier this week and offensive lineman Joshua Moses out of Spring (Texas) Legacy School of Sports Sciences.
As a junior Pettaway registered 80 tackles, four pass breakups and an interception. he has 10.7 speed in the 100m dash.
