Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae is not so sure that his Achilles tendon and knee problems will go away any time soon.
“I don’t think everything will suddenly improve dramatically after a one game rest. It just goes on, you have to keep going. Yes, physically it helped a bit. It was the first time I had a rest this season, so I was relatively able to recover,” Min-jae told Tz’s Philipp Kessler and Hanna Raif (as captured by @iMIaSanMia).
Tz’s reporting also went on to note that if Min-jae needs more down tiome, Eric Dier and Josip Stanišić would be available to help fill in.
Ito hoping to be back in three weeks
In the same report from Tz, it was noted that Hiroki Itō is hoping to be back in the lineup in three weeks, which is a lot earlier than anyone was expecting (even head coach Vincent Kompany).
