The UFC is finally heading back to Montreal.
On Friday, the world’s leading MMA promotion announced it will return to Montreal for the first time in a decade with UFC 315, which takes place on May 10 at the Bell Center.
The promotion has been to Montreal on seven previous occasions, each with a pay-per-view event, and was a near-yearly stop for the UFC until 2015. This will be the promotion’s first visit to Montreal since April of that year with UFC 186. That card was headlined by a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi. Johnson won the bout by literal last-second armbar, notching his sixth successful title defense. In the co-main event, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson won a unanimous decision victory over Fabio Maldonado.
As of now there are no bouts set for UFC 315 nor any rumored matchups, but that will certainly change in the coming months.
