Vince Kompany likes his Bayern Munich teams to keep it tight at the back — preferring a suffocating, controlling style that ideally restricts opponents from having opportunities to score.
However…it does not always pan out that way.
Recent results — a 3-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Champions League and a nervy 4-3 finish against Holstein Kiel — has everybody wondering just what is going on.
That includes Bayern honorary president and supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß.
“Mr. Eberl [Bayern executive board member for sport Max] has to sort that out with him [Kompany], but when I see him [Kompany] soon, I will also ask him why we’re conceding so many easy goals,” Hoeneß said in comments aired on BR24, as captured via @iMiaSanMia.
Well…sounds ominous.
