Former UNLV offensive lineman Alani Makihele is set for a pair of official visits in the coming days. The 6-foot-4, 355-pounder entered the transfer portal March 27.
He started at left guard last year for the Rebels and has two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2020 season and then redshirting in 2021. He played in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2022, and then was a starter last year as a redshirt sophomore.
For those visits, he’ll check out a pair of schools in California.
