Bayern Munich’s annual general meeting, commonly referred to as the AGM, is a meeting in which the club looks back at the following year, including the trophies won, the financial results and the number of overall members. This whole affair is a brand new concept for head coach Vincent Kompany, however:
“I’ve never been to an annual general meeting before,” Vincent Kompany admitted after the home victory in the Bundesliga against FC Heidenheim, via @iMiaSanMia. This is a very German thing. I don’t know how it is. Unfortunately I can’t be there because we have a game on Tuesday [against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League] and we have training. But I know it’s important [because] the fans play an important role at this club.”
Indeed they do.
