LA VERNE, Calif. — Washington has another marquee recruiting victory in the first true class of the Jedd Fisch era. Top247 athlete Dylan Robinson announced his commitment to the Huskies on 247Sports LIVE, becoming the seventh four-star prospect to join a class that is pacing for a top 20 finish nationally in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
Here is everything you need to know about the talented two-way star from La Verne (Calif.) Bonita:
WHAT DYLAN ROBINSON SAYS ABOUT WASHINGTON
“It really just feels like home,” Robinson told 247Sports. “The culture there and everything about them is home. I loved my visit up there and they made me feel like a huge part of what they want to accomplish.
“The way the staff worked at Arizona and built them up into a good team, it’s definitely exciting to envision what they might be able to accomplish in Seattle. The coaches are starting with a team that’s already good and they’re recruiting a great class. We are moving up — I truly believe their vision for the future fits with mine and I can’t wait to get started.”
WHO ELSE WAS IN THE MIX?
Notre Dame and UCLA were the other two finalists, having drawn official visits during the month of June. Despite getting the first weekend on the travel itinerary, the Huskies weathered the storm and locked in their second-highest rated commit of the cycle.
WHERE DYLAN ROBINSON RANKS AS A RECRUIT
Robinson is the nation’s No. 198 overall prospect, No. 8 among athletes and No. 14 in the state of California for the 2025 class, per the 247Sports rankings.
HOW DYLAN ROBINSON FITS WITH WASHINGTON
“Their plan for me is on defense first and receiver second, with the possibility of being thrown in some packages on offense,” Robinson said. “I am a great fit for their scheme. It’s a Cover 2 defense with man-to-man corner responsibilities and they see me filling a dynamic role in the secondary. I’ll be a corner first and foremost, but they’ve said I could move around in some matchups. I love coach John Richardson. He was really excited when I called him up to commit. He couldn’t believe it and kept asking me if I was serious. He has so much contagious energy and I’m excited to develop under him at the next level.”
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound for Robinson is among five Top247 members to pledge for the Huskies in the current cycle.
WHAT WE THINK ABOUT DYLAN ROBINSON
247Sports national scouting analyst Greg Biggins has seen Robinson up close a number of times and is tremendously high on his potential to impact at the Big Ten level.
“Runs really well, and has both short area burst and long speed,” Biggins wrote in the scouting report earlier this off-season. “He earned DB MVP honors at the SoCal Under Armour Next Camp and we love his all around game. As a junior, he was productive on both sides of the ball with 22 catches for 514 yards and six touchdowns to go with 69 tackles and four interceptions on defense.”
