Fabricio Andrade stopped Kwon Won II in devastating fashion to successfully defend his ONE Championship bantamweight title Friday in Bangkok, Thailand.
Andrade told MMA Fighting prior to the rematch that “the fact I knocked him out with a kick to the body shows he can’t take a hit to the body”, looking back at his 62-second victory from 2022, and proved his point even quicker this time.
“Wonder Boy” aimed at Won II’s body with devastating kicks early on, and the South Korean bantamweight decided he had enough and tried to take the Brazilian down. Andrade quickly broke the clinch position to continue with his body attacks, sending Won II down in pain with a knee and punch to the body.
