The North Carolina Tar Heels are finding new ways to lose football games.
They lost their fourth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 41-34 decision to Georgia Tech that was decided by a late Yellow Jackets touchdown.
What stood out the most about that game-winning touchdown? Georgia Tech probably was not even trying to score and seemed willing to take the game to overtime.
Overtime would not be needed.
With the game tied, 34-34, with less than 30 seconds to play, the Yellow Jackets called a simple handoff to Jamal Haynes that seemed to be done with the intention of running the clock.
Instead, Haynes found a lane through the North Carolina defense to run for a game-winning, 68-yard touchdown.
Have a look.
