T11. Georgia Tech: 5-7 (3-5)
Why: Georgia Tech finished 7-6 last season, with a 5-3 mark in conference play, and return one of the ACC’s top passers in Haynes King. However, the Yellow Jackets lost 21 players to the transfer portal and face an absolute gauntlet in 2024. Brent Key’s crew is the only ACC team in our toughest schedules ranking and it ranks No. 6 overall.
T11. Pittsburgh: 5-7 (3-5)
Why: Pitt finished 3-9 last season but improved its offensive line with a handful of additions through the portal and high school recruiting ranks. The Panthers added transfer quarterback Eli Holstein from Alabama, setting up a three-way battle at QB that will factor heavily into its ceiling next season.
T11. California: 6-6 (3-5)
Why: ACC newcomer Cal has the talent to make back-to-back bowl games for just the second time during Justin Wilcox’s eight years at the helm, but not much else.
