Falling out of way-too-early rankings was Iowa and Arizona. The Wildcats watched coach Jeff Fisch leave for the Washington vacancy after DeBoer left for Alabama and he took a couple of his players with him. Texas A&M and Virginia Tech found spots in this updated ranking. The Aggies landed a top-end transfer class this cycle and have the talent ahead of Mike Elko’s first season as coach to be a threat in the top-half of the conference. Virginia Tech is loaded defensively and is garnering darkhorse respect in ACC circles.
