“I’ve had conversations, but it’s just mostly I’ve gotta get in front of everybody and let them know my direction, my vision, how I see this. Get in front of everybody, let’s give them the vision, and if they’re on board, let’s go.”
ON ROUNDING OUT HIS STAFF:
“I’m going to go through an interviewing process right now with the staff, and then after that, we’ll finish that and I’ll start figuring out what’s going on from there. But I’m interviewing my staff that’s currently here and going from there.”
ON HIS DEFINITION OF SUCCESS IN YEAR ONE:
“Winning games. Gotta get out there. I’m not here for a hidden agenda or ‘We played well.’ None of that. We gotta win games. I’m a Bruin, too, so this isn’t just ‘I’m happy to be in this seat.’ I’m trying to produce. We gotta win games to get players, so that’s what we’re going to do.”
