RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has overseen a crazy first part of the season for this club as it heads into a Bundesliga tilt against Bayern Munich.
Still alive domestically in its competitions, RB Leipzig flamed out horrifically in the Champions League, which has left him with a true sense of urgency to get his team to perform.
That said, Rose knows the Bayern Munich game is massive.
“The performance in Munich has to be very good. We are going there with a good feeling, I’m really looking forward to the game. We will try everything and try to make life as difficult as possible for Bayern. We have to run like rabbits, we have to be hard-working and consistently take our chances,” Rose said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Rose knows he will have a formidable mind to compete with on the touchline in Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany.
“He’s a young coach who has developed well and was given the chance in Munich. Things seem to be going very smoothly under him. The team seems to be able to identify with the style of football,” said Rose.
Finally, Rose is expecting Bayern Munich star striker Harry Kane to return, which should complicate matters for RB Leipzig.
“14 goals and seven assists, that’s the difference. That’s what makes Kane special. He’s just there in certain situations. Bayern under Vincent Kompany are playing with a lot of power and intensity, they’re playing a very determined brand of football and have a high level of quality. When they have the ball, they can dominate their opponents. You can see straight away when Kane is missing. When he’s back, he doesn’t need much time to get going, he’s just a world-class striker,” said Rose.
